HOW DOES IT WORK?

The illusions created by lenticular printing is created from many cylindrical lenses working together. Several images are sliced and sized through a process called "interlacing" so that a portion of each image fits under each cylindrical lens. Each cylindrical lens magnifies and displays a portion of the image underneath it. The image displayed is based on the angle to the viewer. Many cylindrical lenses working together create an entire image.

As the viewer moves past the image, the viewing angle for each cylindrical lens will change and the image will appear to change. A different image can also be delivered to each eye, creating a three-dimensional effect.

HOW IS IT MADE?

LenstarFlexo is lenticular roll stock created using LENSTAR® resin developed by Eastman Chemical. This resin is extruded by the world's largest extruder of lenticular lens material, PACUR. The result is roll stock lenticular with optical grade quality and clarity, precisely created especially for flexographic print.

Although file creation for lenticular print can be challenging, designing for flexographic lenticular requires some special considerations. One method for producing superior flexographic lenticular is to take advantage of Chromalen technology, developed by lenticular pre-press company, Pixalen Studio.

Chromalen technology uses looped patterns for seamless depth and elinimates problems associated with registration issues.

What is Gobee?

Gobee is a concept brand created by Capsule, a brand design firm in Mineapolis, MN. The crew of Gobee characters was designed for kids in the early transition of taking on responsibilities in the home, at school and in our communities. The characters were also created for parents that seek an impactful approach to guiding and teaching children responsible behavior.

he Gobee characters include Captain Yessyu, First officer Whomee and agent Doodat who all originate from the planet Gobee. They have left a planet in devastation (homes, communities and the environment) to find new ways and places to live. They find themselves on our tiny blue ball teaching kids valuable lessons by using the horrendous and humorous mistakes they made on their own planet. These mishaps are funny when others make them, far away from us, and they offer great learning for children making this essential transition in life.

The Gobee characters are here to help. They offer the humor and the spark to get our kids and parents moving in the right direction, toward a more responsible way of living.
